>> all right. let's start with lindsay lohan . natalie just reported on it in the news. last night she's arrested inside a new york city nightclub about 4:00 in the morning alleged to have punched another woman in the face. this coming, donny , on the heels of a let's say poorly received film on the lifetime network "liz & dick," what do you do with lindsay lohan as a brand at this point?
>> as a brander -- as a brand guy and a dad. as a brand guy, unfortunately -- or fortunately, this doesn't hurt her. she has become this generation -- i'm talking as a dad for a second. let me finish this. we celebrate -- we elevate, we are fascinated with the tragic princess, the tragic diva. this is on brand for her, this is what makes people watch -- it's terrible to say don't shoot the messenger. we are more fascinated with her than we are a brilliant actress natalie portman . as a dad, obviously -- and i know her mom and i like her mom, the girl obviously needs some help at this point. she needs to be protected because what's happening is wherever she goes it almost becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy. this is -- my dad part of me wants to hug her and just help her and take care of her. something needs to happen.
>> star, what do you think?
>> at some point, we all need to realize that lindsay is not marilyn monroe , she does not have the same talent. fascination is one thing. at this point, she's no longer just famous, she's infamous. you need a body of work in order to have someone stay fascinated with you. we're fascinated --

>> people are fascinated because what we're waiting for, sad to say, is some tragedy so that the three of us can come on television the next day --

>> the whole thing is -- she was right on the money. it's a campy production. she's still a young woman and she still can be helped and she will be. i believe we will be sitting here ten years from now and she will have won an academy award .

>> a little weightier topic here. do women have the right to fight? four united states servicewomen have filed suit this week in court to end the military's ban on women serving in direct combat operations . they say it excludes them from getting into the club, if you want to call it that, where you can be promoted to the top of the military ladder.
>> they're right.
>> what do you think?
>> they're right. this is a glass ceiling for them. for a long time all they could do was stay in the pool, then they were allowed to fly planes, and nudged their way up. the reality is if they can compete on the same level as men and for fighter planes , there's no doubt they can, they should be allowed to fight. because women are losing their lives in these planes. they aren't getting the same recognition, and they are blocked for ascending the ranks. i believe they should be allowed.
>> women on the front lines , star?
>> if the same standard of competing is -- if you've got to climb the same amount of ladders, lift the same amount of weight, if you've got to go over the same fence, then, yes they should be able to compete. if you drop that standard at all based on being female, then absolutely not. i want to make sure that you can do the exact same thing and if you can't and i believe that women can, then they should have --
>> donny , the argument is, they're already in harm's way, 150 women have died in iraq and afghanistan because war is not symmetrical anymore. if your base is attacked, you're fighting, you're in combat. why shouldn't if they want to, why shouldn't they be on the front lines ?
>> by the way, 1,000 troops, give me the 1,000 best -- sometimes i see cops on the street and see what seems to be a physically strong woman versus a dumpy little guy -- so best physical specimen.
>> this block for ascending the ranks is real. for women that want to be colonels and generals and admirals --
>> we're going to see it.
>> absolutely.
>> does size matter? easy, donny , we're talking about mannequins here. we're seeing more and more mannequins --
>> i knew i couldn't let that one go with donny . more and more department stores where you're seeing not the traditional thin mannequin but some that are larger. in fact, one woman posted a photograph at the social media site that said, quote, anyone horrified they make these obese mannequins now? nancy about 70% of americans are overweight or obese at this point. why shouldn't they see themselves reflected in retail?
>> look, i don't think i'm obese, but there's no mannequin that's my size. skinnier than i am. i mean they aren't even real. they are stick figures that only have breasts. so until you see a normal mannequin, then i think we can weigh in. do i want to see fat, fat mannequins that say to everyone it's okay to let loose ? no. but mannequins reflect real women , that would be lovely.
>> but we sell idealism, and even in plus-size stores, you're selling an aspiration.
>> it's so clear any of them have been in a plus-size store. that's where i used to shop for the majority of my adult life. they've always had mannequins that are a bit bigger.
>> a bit bigger, not obese.
>> yeah.
>> they're idealized version.
>> the idealized version is like a size 18. that's the ideal size --
>> they're never going to see a 40-pound mannequin.
>> but a 5'5" --
