MORGANTOWN, W.Va. ? Senior Sarah-Anne Brault is set to compete at her fourth straight NCAA Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 17 in Louisville, Ky., at the E.P. ?Tom? Sawyer State Park.
Following a seventh place finish and her third straight All-Mid Atlantic Region performance last weekend at the NCAA Regionals, Brault will compete as an individual for the second time in her career with the race slated to begin at noon.
?Sarah has been an extremely consistent athlete for the program,? coach Sean Cleary says. ?As a four time qualifier for the NCAA Cross Country Championships, Sarah will join only a handful of student-athletes competing this weekend that have achieved that distinction.
?From day one, Sarah has led by example both in the classroom and on the course. As this year?s team leader, her role of leading her team to national distinction has been equally impressive, as well as the contributions that she made while running on three top 10 national teams. We?re expecting Sarah to go out and run her best national finals to date.?
Besides her All-Mid Atlantic Region honors, Brault also received All-Big 12 honors at the Big 12 Championships on Oct. 27, after finishing in 10th place with a 6k time of 20:52. This was the second consecutive year she received all-conference honors after finished eighth at last year?s Big East Championships.
Results from the race and a recap will be posted on WVUsports.com shortly following the completion of the competition.
