A Variety Of Wedding Supplies To Include On The Planning List ...

The day of your exchanging your vows is a special day and you want the day to proceed as smoothly as possible. The planning can become stressful and overwhelming, however, if you have a complete list of wedding supplies and plan accordingly, the day will be as magical as you expected.

The items needed will vary depending on the theme of your special day, but the following is a typical list of the basic supplies you will need for the big day.

The first section of your supply list should have the larger items you will need including the bridal gown, attire for the groom, the venue for both the ceremony and the reception and where you would like to go on the honeymoon. Also include in this section of large items, the gowns for your bridesmaids, groomsmen tuxes, flowers, bride and groom rings, invitations, caterer, music for both reception and ceremony and who will perform the ceremony. It is highly recommended that you begin this part of the planning a minimum of six months ahead of time.

Begin a few months before the special day buying items such as reception decorations, ceremony decorations, favors for guests, bridal party gifts and the cake. The majority of these items can be bought in small amounts and be made in batches. If, for example your budget is tight for bridal party gifts, buy one at a time each week for a few months before the big day.

Many couples are opting to buy the necessary items and make their own guest favors. If you are making your favors, it is crucial to have the theme chosen before you begin buying favor supplies. Also, ask friends and family to help with making them will be a lot easier than trying to put together hundreds of favors the day before the big day. Keep in mind that starting early is recommended, for example if your guests are getting a candle, each day prepare several by attaching a ribbon to them and start several weeks in advance. Homemade cookies or other baked items can be prepared a few days in advance and boxed as they are made.

Some of the wedding supplies that are often forgotten include items such as a guest book, cake knife, cards for place settings, thank-you cards, table decorations and flutes for the couples champagne. Putting these items on the supplies list early on will help to not only remember them, but make it easier for planning the budget.
